MERRILL, WI (WSAU) — Court records show an arrest warrant has been issued for a 19-year-old Milwaukee man who walked away from the Lincoln County Jail last week.
David Brown was released for a job interview on May 1st and did not return to jail. When officers called the potential employer, they confirmed he did not attend the interview.
Brown has been in jail on battery charges and is now facing a felony count for escaping criminal arrest. A warrant was issued for him on May 6th.
Investigators believe 22-year-old Earnest Julien picked him up in Merrill. He is also facing charges for being a party to the crime.
Both men face up to six years in prison if found guilty at trial.
