WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Wausau Police Department is warning drivers about slick roadways, especially on Interstate 39/Highway 51.
According to a Tweet from the department, numerous vehicles have slid into the ditch on the freeway near County Road K and Business 51.
Reports of at least three incidents were sent by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s traffic incident notification system just after 4 PM.
The Wausau area saw a steady, light snowfall between 11 AM and 3 PM on Sunday. That was forecast to continue into the early evening.
