Tim Borden is one happy guy this morning. He's the Colorado man behind the NEW Guinness World Record for the World's Largest Firework at 2,797 pounds!
The 62-inch shell lit up the sky last night (2/8/2020) at the
Steamboat Springs Winter Carnival
.
The previous world record was set in the United Arab Emirates on January 1, 2018. That shell was 2,397 pounds.
Check out
Steamboat Fireworks Facebook page
for more interviews and photos about the record breaking event 🙂
Borden did note that they worked closely with everyone “to ensure that our firework posed absolutely no danger to people, wildlife or structures in the area.”
