UNDATED (Wisconsin Radio Network-WSAU) – Former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker says he doesn’t think a recount will flip Wisconsin’s election results.
Walker is working as an advisor for President Trump’s re-election campaign. He says unless something changes while the counties are canvassing the vote, simply counting the ballots again won’t give President Trump a Wisconsin victory.
The canvass only determined if ballots were properly cast. Officials say 51 of the state’s 72 counties have finished the job. As of Wednesday, canvassing added 16 votes to Joe Biden’s total and reduced Trump’s total by 216. The biggest mistake discovered so far was a transcription error in Shawano County, where 636 votes were recorded for Trump. The correct number was 326.
Once canvassing is complete on November 17, the Trump campaign can decide if it wants a recount.
