CINCINNATI, OH (WSAU-TSN) - Brayan Pena's go-ahead, pinch-hit two-run homer highlighted a five-run eighth inning and the Cincinnati Reds beat the Milwaukee Brewers, 8-3, in the opener of a four-game set.

Zack Cozart led off the eighth with a single to right-center off Jim Henderson (2-1) and after Tucker Barnhart moved Cozart over with a sacrifice bunt, Pena smacked a shot that just snuck over the right field wall to make it 5-3.

Todd Frazier worked a bases-loaded walk against Rob Wooten later in the inning before Ryan Ludwick grounded a two-run single through the hole on the left side of the infield for an 8-3 cushion.

Jonathan Broxton fired a scoreless ninth to back eight strong innings from Homer Bailey (2-2), who surrendered three runs on eight hits and a walk to notch the win.e
