GREEN BAY, Wis. (WSAU) - The Green Bay Packers will not lose Sam Shields to free agency. CBS Sports and Pro Football Talk both report that Shields has just inked a new four year deal to stay with the Packers.
The contract is said to be worth around 39-million dollars.
Green Bay did not use their franchise tag on Shields, which led many people to speculate he would test the free agent market.
Shields is coming off a strong year, with four interceptions and 61 tackles last season.
