Road construction crew knocks out power to Milwaukee Regional Medical Center

WAUWATOSA, WI (WTAQ) - The power is back on at the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center, after an outage Thursday morning.

We Energies said a road construction crew struck an underground cable -- and it knocked out power to around 320 customers.

The center includes Froedtert Hospital, Children's Hospital, and the Medical College of Wisconsin in Wauwatosa, close to the Milwaukee city limits along Wisconsin Avenue.

The first word of the outage came around 8:20 a.m. We Energies said all power was restored around 10:05 a.m.

Children's Hospital said its patient care and safety were never affected. Froedtert said all its patients and staff members were also safe.
