Argument leads to knife threats in Fremont

FREMONT, Wis. (WSAU) -- A Menasha man has been arrested for threatening to stab someone in front of a Fremont nightclub early Sunday.

Fremont police officer Joshua Pawlosky says they were called to the 200 block of Wolf River Drive at 1:00 a.m. where a male suspect pulled a knife during an argument. The 28-year-old man ran when police arrived, but officers were able to chase him down and recover the weapon. Pawlosky says they are recommending charges of endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon and resisting an officer.

The man is being held in the Waupaca County jail on a probation hold. He may make an initial appearance in court on the new charges Monday.
