AL Wins All-Star Game, Brewers Play Well


MINNEAPOLIS, MN (WSAU) Derek Jeter had two hits in his final All-Star game but it was Mike Trout who took home the MVP trophy as th American League beat the National League 5-3. Trout was 2-3 with two RBI's in the win which will give home field advantage to the AL representative in the World Series.

The AL jumped on top in the first inning when Detroit's Miguel Cabrera hit a 2-run homer off Adam Wainwright.

Milwaukee's All-Stars had good games. Jonathon Lucroy had 2 doubles and 2 RBI's. Aramis Ramirez was 2-3 with a run scored and Carlos Gomez finished 0-2 but did make a nice running catch robbing Trout of  another hit. Francisco Rodriguez pitched a scoreless inning.

Jeter was removed from the game in the 4th inning to a huge ovation.
