LAS VEGAS, NV (LEARFIELD-WSAU) Milwaukee Bucks' guard Nate Wolters hurt his left ankle yesterday, when he stepped on a player's foot at the Bucks' Summer League practice in Las Vegas. Both Wolters and coach Jason Kidd said the injury is not too serious. The second-year pro expects to be ready for Friday night's Summer League opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Meanwhile, Kidd's top assistant at Brooklyn last season will apparently stay in that role in Milwaukee. Media reports said Joe Prunty will join former Nets' assistants Sean Sweeney and Eric Hughes on the Milwaukee staff. Prunty has been an N-B-A assistant for 18 years. He helped the San Antonio Spurs win three of its league titles in 1999, 2003, and '05.
