MERRILL, Wis. (WSAU) -- Lincoln County deputies are investigating two separate rollover accidents from Sunday.
a 46-year-old Baraboo man was arrested Sunday morning after rolling his vehicle off of Highway 8 not far from County Highway Y. The man failed field sobriety tests, and was held at the Lincoln County Jail until he sobered up later Sunday. Charges are pending for operating while intoxicated.
Then, Sunday afternoon, a 47-year-old Antigo man lost control of his vehicle travelling eastbound on Highway 64 at County Highway X. The driver was trapped after the vehicle rolled at least once. The four passengers were able to get out. None of the five were injured, and no citations were issued.
Another 46-year-old Tomahawk man was arrested Sunday night for operating while intoxicated. Lincoln County deputies came across a vehicle in the ditch on Highway L north of Highway 8. The deputy found the driver walking up the road. He is in the county jail awaiting a bond hearing later today (Monday).
No names have been released due to the Driver’s Privacy and Protection Act, which prevents the public and the media from learning who is involved in incidents where the suspects used a motor vehicle or were identified by their Department of Transportation ID or license.
