EAGLE RIVER, WI (WSAU) Malcolm Chartier won his second straight title yesterday at the World Championship Snowmobile Derby in Eagle River.

The 25-year-old Chartier, of Marine City Michigan, led each one of the 30 laps in the Champ-440 feature race.  He had nearly lapped the rest of the field near the end, as he became the ninth rider to win back-to-back titles in the Derby's 51-year history.

Wausau native Matt Schultz was the runner-up for the second time in three years.  He won the event in 2010.  Travis McDonald placed third.
