WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) -- A plea hearing in a 2006 shaken baby case has been delayed.
32-year-old Quentin Louis was sentenced to 20 years in the death of his daughter in 2006. Louis since won an appeal and the right to a retrial of the case based on new information about shaken baby syndrome. Louis had been scheduled for a plea hearing this week, but an updated court record shows that's been pushed back to April 10th.
Former Marathon County Circuit Judge Vincent Howard ordered that new trial after the Wisconsin Supreme Court issued a ruling involving disagreements by medical experts about alleged shaken baby syndrome injuries.
