STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAU) -- It's time to start thinking Trivia as registration opens for the 90FM Trivia Contest.
This year's theme is Trivia on 45, in honor of the 45th year of the contest. The contest runs 54 straight hours, and pits thousands of people across the world in a marathon session of pop culture, history and general knowledge questions.
Organizer Jim Oliva says pre-registration is now available for this year's Contest. "Teams that are playing from out of the state or out of the area that want to register in advance, they can go to 90fmtrivia.org, download the the registration form, fill it out, and mail it to me." The cost for long distance registration is 75 dollars and needs to be completed by April 1st. In person registration opens April 7th.
Oliva says they're involving student organizations this year to help out with the Contest. "PRSSA is involved in promoting the contest on campus, and promoting college students to get involved and have teams." He says the Contest also helps train the student radio staff that all get a turn on the mic during the quiz, along with those who run the rest of the scoring and volunteer programs.
