Open records investigation into Colby School Board

COLBY, Wis. (WSAU) -- An investigation into possible open meetings law violations by the Colby School Board is wrapping up.

Clark County’s District Attorney’s office will spend the next couple of weeks reviewing their findings.

The alleged problem came from possible disclosure of closed session meeting information in October from a board member concerning a teacher employment situation. The board met again in closed session to talk about that disclosure incident in December. Some board members say that was the right thing to do. Others say discussing the conduct of a board member should have been in open session.

District Attorney Lyndsey Boon Brunette is not commenting on her findings at this time.
