STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAU) -- The man accused of providing heroin to a UW Stevens Point student was in court Monday.
26-year-old Erik Olsen of Hancock entered a not-guilty plea in Portage county court Monday. He’s charged with first degree reckless homicide for allegedly supplying heroin to 22-year-old Jordan Peterson on the day he died in November.
Peterson had sent a text message to Olsen looking for $25.00 worth of some type of drug. Olsen says he didn’t find him any.
Olsen remains in jail on a $100,000 cash bond. His attorney has asked for a change of venue, but the judge hasn’t ruled on that motion yet.
