NEILLSVILLE, Wis (WSAU) Neillsville residents are being told to boil their water as a precaution after last week's water main break. Much of the city lost water pressure, and there's been an increase in sediment in the water supply.
The city advises that water be brought to a rolling boil to kill off any bacteria before being used for drinking, cooking, or washing dishes. Drinking bottled water is preferred in the meantime.
City Hall sent out the water-boiling notice on Friday. They say water samples were taken on yesterday and will be taken today. Test results on whether the water is safe to drink are expected tomorrow (Wednesday).
