WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) -- A Wausau man is going to prison after being convicted of drug and weapons charges.
36-year-old Juan Quintero entered into a plea agreement in Marathon county court. He pled no contest to delivering heroin, possessing heroin and cocaine, and possessing a firearm. As part of the deal, 12 other charges were dismissed, but considered in his sentence.
Quintero will spend 8 years in the state prison and then 3 more years on extended supervision.
Quintero and 50-year-old Bonnie Michelotti were arrested in a Rib Mountain parking lot after conducting the drug sale. Officers searched Quintero’s 6th Avenue Wausau home and found heroin, hashish and cocaine worth thousands of dollars, along with the gun.
Michelotti is already serving one year and five months in prison.
