Motorcycle rider suffers minor injury after trying to stop for deer


GLEASON, Wis. (WSAU) -- One person was injured in a Saturday afternoon motorcycle crash near Gleason.

Lincoln County deputies say a pair of motorcycle rider were travelling on Highway 17 near Gross lane when they encountered a group of deer near the road. The first rider managed to stop safely but the other ran into the back of his bike. The operators of the lead motorcycle were not injured.

The riders of the second motorcycle were 73-year-old Janet Kilgore 76-year-old Dale Kolgore. They were ejected from the motorcycle, and suffered only minor injuries in the crash.

Town of Russell first responders and the Merrill ambulance assisted deputies at the crash scene.
