Current Marquette Players Will Stay

MILWAUKEE, WI (LEARFIELD) Marquette's new men's basketball coach says all nine of the Golden Eagles' underclassmen will return next season.  Steve Wojciechowski said before the team's annual banquet last night that his top priority has been to develop relationships with his players -- and he's pleased that the holdovers have accepted and quote, "embraced" him.

On the day Wojo was hired, Marquette sophomore forward Steve Taylor Junior and freshman guard JaJuan Johnson said they were not sure they'd return this fall.  Both had fallen out of former coach Buzz Williams' rotation.  Meanwhile, Wojciechowski said he's still working to keep all four incoming freshmen who signed for scholarships.

The Eagles are still waiting to hear from one of their top recruits, Ahmed Hill of Augusta Georgia.
