Sex offender to be released

STEVENS POINT, Wis (WSAU)   A convicted sex offender will be released in Stevens Point at the end of the month. He's 54-year-old Roy Grorich.

He's completed his jail sentence after pleading no contest in 2002 for sexually assaulting three children between the ages of 8 and 13. Police say he had contact with his victims through friends and family. Grorich admitted to two of the counts as part of a plea bargain. The third charge was read into the record at sentencing.

Stevens Point police say Grorich will live at a halfway house in PortageCounty starting September 30. He'll be subject to electronic monitoring, and will be supervised by the Department of Corrections. He's also required to stay away from children and file any future address changes with the state's sex-offender registry.
