Betty Benzschawel was a passenger in a car driven by her husband, 83-year-old Alvin J. Benzschawel. Neither of them were wearing seat belts.

The crash happened August 31st at 11:30 a.m. in the Town of Worden at the intersection of Tieman Avenue and Broek Road. They collided with an eastbound vehicle driven by 19-year-old Waylon J.
