WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) - Some people run marathons. For others, that’s just the beginning.
Barb Klinner ran this weekend as a fundraiser for Treyden’s Cabin, the pediatric waiting room at St. Joseph’s Hospital named for Treyden Kurtzweil who died shortly after his first birthday from a rare form of leukemia in June.
The Wausau woman ran just over 36 hours Saturday and Sunday, for a total of 120 miles. The 54-year-old runner took the Mountain-Bay Trail to Green Bay and back in memory of the child and also her brother who died of leukemia two years ago.
Her ultra-marathon brought in over $3,500 for the Treyden’s Cabin project.
