PLOVER, Wis. (WSAU) - Fire at a Plover business Sunday night caused some equipment damage and required three workers to seek medical treatment.
Plover Fire Chief Tim Kluck says the fire began just after 9:00 p.m. at Judge’s Cleaners on Maple Drive. "We had a dryer fire inside the building. Upon arrival, the crews went in and extinguished the fire, removed all of the material from the large dryer, and then ventilated the building. We also had two employees that were transported to St. Michael’s Hospital with smoke inhalation.”
Shortly after Chief Kluck talked to WSAU, the ambulance was called to come after a third employee that was having difficulty breathing.
The large industrial sized dryers are used as part of their service to provide linens to several area hospitals and medical facilities.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
