STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAU) -
The man accused of attacking his girlfriend with a baseball bat has entered not-guilty pleas to all charges. 33-year-old Jason Hyatt remains in jail on a $250,000 cash bond. He allegedly wrapped an aluminum bat with towels, and ambushed his victim when a female friend brought her home from a bar October 5th.
Hyatt faces a possible life in prison plus 25 years if convicted on all charges, which includes attempted murder, kidnapping, stalking, reckless endangerment, and false imprisonment.
Hyatt also faces charges for aggravated battery, intimidation and bail jumping.
Judge John Finn set a pre-trial conference for November 18th.
Should Hyatt make bail, he is ordered to have no contact with the victim and the friend that brought her home, and to stay away from alcohol and establishments where it is available.
