MILWAUKEE (WSAU) Look for Ryan Braun to be back in a Brewers uniform next year. Team owner Mark Attanasio on Thursday shot down rumors the former National League MVP would be traded during the offseason.
Braun was suspended for 65 games for his connection to performance enhancing drugs from Biogenesis, while a dozen other big-leaguers served 50 game suspensions. The only player who received a longer penalty was New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez.
Braun's suspension will be completed during the off-season, and he'll be allowed to rejoin the team for the start of spring training. The Brewers are undecided if Braun will stay in the outfield, or if he'll return to third base to allow younger players more playing time.
