Primary election Tuesday in 69th Assembly District

UNDATED (WSAU) - There’s a primary election underway Tuesday to narrow down the field of Republicans seeking the 69th Assembly District seat.

The seat which was recently given up by former Assembly Majority Leader Scott Suder will have a special election to fill his remaining year of the term.

Granton restaurateur Tommy Dahlen, businessman Bob Kulp from Stratford, former Marshfield alderman Scott Noble, and current Marshfield alderwoman Alana Feddick-Goodwin are seeking the Republican nomination.

Whoever wins this primary will face Democrat Ken Slezak of Neillsville and former Democrat turned Independent Tim Swiggum of Owen.

All six turned in more than the minimum 200 signatures to have their names on the ballot for the special election November 19th.

Dorchester Village Trustee and Clark County Republican Chairperson Deb Koncel has decided not to run for the seat. After an early entry to the race, she withdrew and has instead endorsed candidate Bob Kulp.

The polls in the 69th District close at 8:00 p.m.
