WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) One of the suspects in a Schofield home invasion from earlier this year was in Marathon County court yesterday. Bond was set at $100,000 for 24-year-old Mathew Dupleasis.
He's accused of knocking on the door of a Schofield home, asking for someone who didn't live there. A woman inside told him to leave. He came back later with an accomplice, forced his way inside, and locked the woman and her 2-year-old child in the basement. He was looking for drugs and money.
Police believe his accomplice was Ryan Olsen, who is also in custody. They two are also suspects in the robbery of the Little Caesars pizzeria from last May, although no charges have been filed.
Dupleasis was arrested on an unrelated weapons charge in Michigan and was sent back to Marathon County. His next court date is October 23.
