CUSTER, Wis. (WSAU) - A crash on Highway 10 at Custer Sunday has left two people dead.
It happened at 1:50 p.m. at Highway K North, where a car crossing highway 10 was struck by a westbound car.
An 85-year-old woman riding in one vehicle died at the scene. The 92-year-old woman driver was airlifted to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, where she died. The 26-year-old woman in the other vehicle was taken to St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point with non-life threatening injuries.
Wisconsin State Patrol’s accident reconstruction team is investigating. It took over three-and-a-half hours to clear the crash scene.
Names are being withheld until relatives are notified.
