Heat Cruise Past Bucks

MIAMI, FLA (LEARFIELD-WSAU) LeBron James put on another clinic last night, scoring 33 points as the Miami Heat pounded the short-handed Milwaukee Bucks 118-to-95 in South Florida.

James showed off a number of post-up moves early, and later hit a series of three-pointers in the third quarter to bury the Bucks.  He scored 17 in that period, same as the entire Milwaukee team. Michael Beasley scored 19, including his five-thousandth career point.

Both teams were without key players due to injuries.  Former Buck Ray Allen was among those missing for the Heat due to illness.  Miami shot almost 60-percent for the night.  The Bucks only made 35-percent in the first three periods.  They scored 33 in the final 12 minutes as James sat down and Miami emptied its bench.

Caron Butler was the only Bucks' starter to score in double figures, with 10 points.  John Henson and Gary Neal each scored 18 off the bench.  First-round rookie Giannis Antetokounmpo from Greece scored 11.

Boxing champion Floyd Mayweather sat courtside, and Brazil's national soccer team was also there.

Miami improved to 5-and-3, after coming off a rare home loss to Boston last Saturday.  Milwaukee dropped to 2-and-4.  The Bucks play at Orlando tonight.
