Packers-Bears outcome leads to husband tasering wife

MAYVILLE, Wis. (WSAU) -- Some football wagers are not a good idea.

A 42-year-old man from Mayville in Dodge County is charged with using a taser on his wife after the Monday Night Football game between the Packers and the Bears.  Why?  She lost the bet.

Bears fan John Grant allegedly tasered his wife three times, and she ended up with some burn marks.  Mrs. Grant refused medical treatment, but did call the police. It seems Mr. Grant could get sacked for a loss of six years in prison and $10,000 in fines if he is convicted, because you need to have a conceal and carry permit to carry a taser in Wisconsin. He doesn’t have one.

The tasing incident happened at about 1:00 a.m. Tuesday, which means the couple at least had time to catch all of the post-game activities before paying up on the bet.
