STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) - Now that the pond is full, how about some fish?
Volunteers with the McDill Lake District in Stevens Point are glad to have McDill Pond refilled after a long wait. Today, they are restocking fish.
There have been several fundraisers to pay for the 4-thousand perch and 5-thousand bluegills being added to the pond. There has also been some donations, including one from the 12 Apostles Musky Club.
More restocking is planned late this fall and again next spring after the McDill Lake District raises more money.
Restocking crews begin work at 10:00 a.m. at the Heffron Street boat landing.
