STEVENS POINT, Wis (WSAU) A cleaning lady who stole jewelry from a home where she'd been working was sentenced to 6-years in prison yesterday. 34-year-old Tamara Moe stole more than $8,000 worth of jewels from a house in Plover in April, 2012 while she was working for a cleaning company. She pawned the items to get money for her gambling and drug addiction.
Moe will have to pay restitution, and will be on extended release for another three years.
She was also convicted of bank fraud, where she deposited a fake check into her account and then withdrew $1,500. She's also been involved in similar house-cleaning robberies in Dane, Winnebago, and Waupaca counties.
