WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) - The two people arrested Thursday in Rib Mountain after a heroin bust appeared in court Monday.
35-year-old Juan Luis Quintero and 49-year-old Bonnie Marie Michelotti are both from Wausau. Quintero is facing a total of 15 felony charges after officers got a search warrant for his home and found several thousand dollars worth of crack cocaine, heroin, and hashish.
Deputy District Attorney Theresa Wetzsteon asked for a $75,000 cash bond for Quintero, saying he was already out on bond for sexual assault charges and has a long criminal history. He faces charges including bail jumping, maintaining a drug trafficking place and possession with intent to deliver. He also had a firearm in the house, which he is not supposed to have since he’s already a convicted felon. His preliminary hearing will be May 22nd. If convicted, Quintero’s total jail time could be as much as 117 years.
Michelotti faces one charge of manufacturing or delivering heroin, and could go back to prison for 15 years. She has already served four years in prison for a forgery conviction in 2004. Michelotti is jailed on a probation hold now.
