ST. PAUL, MN (WTAQ) - Police in St. Paul Minnesota are trying to gain access to cell phone and bank records for Jeffrey Trevino and his missing wife Kira, who’s from the Wausau area.
Kira’s been missing for over two-and-a-half months, and her husband Jeffrey is charged with killing her.
Police said a large amount of blood matching Kira’s DNA was found in the couple’s St. Paul home.
In a new search warrant affidavit, police now say the husband bought cleaning supplies the weekend after his wife went missing – and he tried to cover up the murder by cleaning the house and moving furniture.
Another warrant affidavit showed that police are seeking financial records, plus phone call and text information from the couple’s cell phones.
