UNDATED (WSAU) Police in Minnesota say they have new evidence in the disappearance of Kira Steger-Trevino. They’re not saying what the evidence is. But they are focusing their search on a river near Keller Park in St. Paul.
Volunteers were also searching that area yesterday and today. The search has been made more difficult because of new snowfall in the area.
It’s believed that Kira was killed by her husband, Jeffery. He’s being held in the Ramsey County jail, unable to post $1-million bond. Police say blood was found on the floor of the family’s basement and in the trunk of Kira’s car.
Kira grew up in Central Wisconsin, and was a 2001 graduate of D.C. Everest High School. Investigators say she was making plans to leave her husband when she disappeared two weeks ago.
