TOMAHAWK, WI (WSAU) -  The mill worker who was badly burned March 5th remains hospitalized. 53-year-old Mike Slesicki is hospitalized at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison after a boiler flared back at him while Slesicki was attempting to relight it.

Hospital officials refuse to comment on Slesicki’s present condition at the request of the family. Packaging Corporation of America spokesman Dave Blank says Slesicki’s condition has not worsened, but he’s still in critical condition as he continues to recover.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and that the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will be back to continue their work Monday.

Blank says the coal and bark fired boiler was down for routine maintenance, and Slesicki was using standard operating procedures to put the boiler back into service when the incident occurred.
