Kenny Chesney kicks off his No Shoes Nation tour in Tampa, FL Saturday with special guests Eric Church , Eli Young Band and Kacey Musgraves .  This is the third straight year Kenny has kicked off his tour at Raymond James Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  The vibe of that stadium works well with Kenny's latest single, "Pirate Flag," too.

"What a great way to kick off a tour where they have a really huge pirate ship in the stands," Kenny says, "and the fans are unbelievable."

This trek is also celebrates the formal naming of Kenny's fans as the No Shoes Nation, and he thinks "Pirate Flag" describes those fans perfectly.

Says Kenny, "It defines anybody that just wants to be a little bit left of center."

All of those fans have something that gets them down throughout the week, whether it's their job or teachers at school. Kenny says of his latest single, "It gives them the OK maybe to get away from it all for a little bit."

Go to Kenny Chesney.com for a full list of No Shoes Nation tour dates.  Kenny's new album, Life on a Rock , features "Pirate Flag" as the lead single.  It's slated for an April 30 release.
