PHOENIX, AZ (WSAU) Three Brewers were involved in World Baseball Classic games Friday, with Yovani Gallardo the most successful.

The righthander went three and a third innings, allowing just two hits and one run, to earn the victory in Mexico’s 5-2 decision over the USA.

Ryan Braun went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored for the USA. Reliever Jim Henderson was the other Brewer to play. He allowed two runs in one-third of an inning pitching for Canada in its 14-4 loss to Italy.
