Risser seeking cosponsors on bill to ban dogs in wolf hunting

MADISON, WI (WSAU) -  A State Senator is seeking support for his bill that would stop the use of dogs for wolf hunting.

Democrat Fred Risser says humane societies oppose the use of dogs in a wolf hunt His bill would end the use of dogs for hunting wolves. That is against the January ruling of Judge Peter Anderson, who allowed the Natural Resources Board to set rules for training and using dogs under certain conditions. Risser is trying to get cosponsors for his bill now.

The bill doesn’t go far enough in the eyes of the humane societies. They would like to ban wolf hunting altogether.
