BEAVER DAM, WI (WTAQ) - A 19-year-old pilot saved herself and three family members, after she crash-landed a small plane that was losing power near Beaver Dam.
Remington Viney of Madison was flying from her hometown to eastern Wisconsin Sunday in a Piper Archer fixed-wing aircraft.
Dodge County sheriff’s deputies said Viney tried flipping a switch that changes power from one fuel tank to another – but the switch failed to work, and the craft lost power.
She landed the plane in a cornfield near Beaver Dam.
Deputies said the craft escaped damage, and all four people on board were safe.
