STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAU) - Stevens Point officials say a sex offender will be moving into the community today.
Bernard Tainter has completed his sentence on charges of First Degree Sexual Assault of a Child. He'll be moving into housing in the area. Sergeant Tony Babl says Tainter has a number of restrictions while on release. "He will have an ankle bracelet and he will be monitored. He also has a restriction against photographing minors."
Babl says he is not wanted by the police. Tainter will have to register with officials for the rest of his life.
