GREEN BAY (WSAU-Wheeler News) Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers wants to focus on the upcoming season – but not before clearing the air about his friend, suspended Milwaukee Brewers slugger Ryan Braun.
During the first day of training camp yesterday, Rodgers says he was disappointed Braun lied to him, saying he “trusted him” and that hurt the most. Rodgers says he believes in forgiveness and moving forward.
Rodgers also said he will reevaluate his business dealings with Braun. They are partners in two restaurants.
"That's yet to be determined," Rodgers said. "As far as the business goes, right now I'm focused on football and I have people who can help me with those issues."
As for comments made by former teammate Greg Jennings questioning the quarterback’s leadership skills – Rodgers took the high road and says his energy is better spent focusing on the team.
