PHILLIPS, WI (WSAU) — Officials have announced that the woman who was the subject of a Silver Alert on Monday was found dead in Price County.
Police suspect Barabara Wilson died from exposure over the weekend after she and her son, Dale, went missing.
Dale is in the hospital being treated for exposure.
No further information about the incident has been released. An autopsy will be conducted on Barbara’s body to confirm the cause of death.
A Silver Alert for the duo was issued on Monday after their vehicle was found abandoned along a Price County road. Family members told authorities they had made contact with them in the last 72 hours, but didn’t know where they were heading.

Barbara was also said to have suffered from dementia.
