WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) The 8-year-old boy who was struck by lighting says he's glad to be home, and doesn't remember much about the ordeal.

In an interview with WAOW-TV, Blake Dreager says he remembers riding his dirt bike on a family farm in Edgar, and then everything went black. Blake says the next thing he remembers is waking up in the burn unit at UW Children’s Hospital in Madison.

Blake suffered 2nd-degree burns over 20-percent of his body. He has more doctors visits ahead, but is expected to make a full recovery.

He said, "I just wanted to check on my baby kittens, my garden, my chickens inside, guess I wanted to be home."
