STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAU) - The party in Stevens Point continues this weekend with Riverfront Rendezvous.
The events are getting a later start today. Organizer Greg Diekroeger says people might be working. "We don't start till 5:30 with some children's entertainment in the south tent, and the rest of the music and entertainment starts up at 6:30 on the festival grounds."
Diekroeger says tonight's show features a number of musical acts. "There's a polka band in the Pfiffner Building, there's a pop rock group called Consult the Briefcase. And we've got a pair of national country artists on the Mainstage: Katie Armiger and Casey James."
Saturday night is fireworks night, and Diekroeger says there's plenty happening. "It's Kids Day in the South Tent, the emergency vehicle display, there's lots of games and prizes going on. A variety of things, a variety band, a pop rock band, a swinging funk band on the mainstage to take us up through the fireworks."
