If you're planning to avoid sunburn and mosquito bites and spend your Fourth of July inside this year, a few country stars will be on TV to provide a great soundtrack to your celebrations.

Taylor Swift and Tim McGraw are set to perform on the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular , airing on NBC from 8 to 10 p.m. ET.  It's not clear if they'll sing their recent collaboration, "Highway Don't Care," though.  Cher , Mariah Carey , Pitbull and Taylor's pal Selena Gomez will perform on that show too.

Over on PBS, the annual special A Capitol Fourth will feature a performance from Scotty McCreery .  The show airs live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.  Scotty admits this gig is a lot more impressive than his usual Independence Day plans.

He says, "I grew up going to a lake house like five minutes from my house for Fourth of July, but being in the Capitol, being able to perform and being around all those folks up there, that'll be a good time and definitely a memory that won't be going anywhere anytime soon."

Glee star Darren Criss , American Idol champ Candice Glover and Neil Diamond will also perform on A Capitol Fourth , airing at 8 p.m. ET.  Fireworks are included, and so is live cannon fire, provided by the U.S. Army Presidential Salute Battery.
