Gun shop broken into again

TOMAHAWK, Wis (WSAU)   A Lincoln County business has been broken into again.

Investigators say Stanton’s General Store near Tomahawk was broken into twice since Friday morning. Deputies responded to a alarm at 3:24 a.m. Friday morning and again Saturday at 9:30 p.m.

A witness Saturday night saw a man exiting through the window. Extreme weather conditions made it difficult to track the suspect, even with the K9 unit.

Deputies have collected evidence from the scene, but it appears nothing was taken during either incident. The same business had numerous guns stolen during an October robbery.

If you have any information on this break in, or saw any suspicious activity around the business early Friday morning you are asked to call the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at 715-453-5747 or 715-536-6272. Callers may also call Crime Stoppers of Lincoln County at 715-536-3726. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
