WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) - A 24-year-old Tomahawk man is improving after a Saturday morning vehicle crash in the Town of Bradley. Dustyn Duplayee was flown from Tomahawk to Aspirus Wausau Hospital, where he was in critical condition. Hospital officials confirm he is now in fair condition and getting better, but has some broken bones to heal.
Lincoln County deputies say Duplayee was westbound on State Rd 86 when he left the roadway and traveled in the ditch for over 200 feet, then struck a culvert causing his vehicle to become airborne.
Investigators believe Duplayee was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. They are awaiting blood tests before proceeding with charges for his second OWI offense.
