WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) - The jury trial against a Chicago man charged with supplying the heroin that killed a Kronenwetter man is on hold.
The attorney for Tyshun Meeks withdrew from the case this week, citing a breakdown of communications with her client. Meeks plead no contest last month to 8 of the 10 charges in the case, and is now serving 15 years in prison.
All of the convictions pertain to charges not directly connected to the death of Justin Selves. Meeks is maintaining he is not guilty of Selves' death, and will be proceeding to trial on the top two counts of supplying heroin and 1st degree reckless homicide.
No new court dates have been scheduled in the case.
